IBEC welcomes US rate cut

Irish employers have welcomed the US Federal Reserve’s decision to cut interest rates for the seventh time this year in an effort to revive the US economy in the face of falling growth rates and recession.

The bank cut its main lending rate by 0.25%, bringing it down to 3.5%.
