Slump in demand hits Sony

Sony is blaming falling demand for consumer electronics for a profits warning.

The company has nearly halved its profit forecast for the year from 150bn yen (£848m) to 90 bn yen (£508.9m) in the face of falling prices and mounting stockpiles.
