Japanese car production slumps

Car production in Japan fell 2.4% in May, slipping for a fifth straight month.

The number of cars, trucks and buses manufactured domestically fell to 735,226 vehicles from 753,374 in the same month a year ago, the Japan Automobile Manufacturers’ Association said.
