Unemployment figures fall

The live register figures increased by 485 persons last month but are still the lowest for this time of year since 1981.

The live register now stands at 142,071. Accounting for seasonal factors, however, the register fell by 1,300 to 137,800. It is the lowest seasonally adjusted figure since December 1981.
