The Minister for Agriculture Joe Walsh has announced that more than £20m in food research and development grants is to be awarded to research institutions.
A total of 53 research and development bodies in the food sector will receive the money under the Food Institutional Research Measure, which is funded by the National Development Plan 2000-2006.
