Govt to be rapped for finance policy

The EU is considering giving Ireland an unprecedented warning on how the national finances are managed.

Officials in Brussels said it was due to Ireland's apparent disregard for EU efforts to bring the country in line with their financial policies, with the Government set for a public slap on the wrist for the way that they are managing the public purse strings.
