£200m e-commerce plan on way

A £200m plan to bring the information superhighway right across the country will be announced by the Government today.

The provision of a new broadband communications network by the ESB, to rival Eircom, is expected to be confirmed as the Government announces some 13 projects to get Ireland on line.
