Retailers want compensation for Euro changeover

Retailers are warning they want compensation for the frontline role they will play in changing the country over to the Euro from December 31.

Retailers and publicans are expected to play a major role in the first six weeks of 2002 in replacing punts with Euros and say it is unfair that they will have to shoulder the associated costs.
