It makes no sense to blame the 'Russian hackers' for everything

‘Russian hackers’ are blamed for everything, the latest being breaching Qatar’s news agency, sparking a row with the Saudis. This makes no sense, says Leonid Bershidsky.

The ubiquitous ‘Russian hackers’ are now accused of providing the spark for a diplomatic fire between Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

While the facts remain vague, it’s hard to understand why it would be in Russia’s interest to undermine Qatar.
