The other week, I found myself in London. London has always been an expensive destination but even more so since the start of the year with the value of the euro tumbling relative to sterling.

That additional cost for travellers from this country is of relatively little consequence in the overall scheme of things, compared to the advantages of a weak euro for our exporting companies.

Ireland is unique among eurozone countries in terms of the high proportion of goods and services we export to non-eurozone countries.
