Incentivising our teachers makes sense

Incentivising our teachers makes sense

It gives teachers an annual platform to vent their frustrations at government policy, in relation to education and any other issues that might be topical.

Almost every year there is some issue of controversy in relation to the incumbent minister, ranging from cat- calling to the lack of an invitation. It is hard to say how much impact this show of force really has, other than getting the backs up of hard-pressed private sector workers and self-employed people. One would get the impression, over the past few years, that teachers were the only segment of society to take a cruel hit since 2008.
