Agency ‘cautiously optimistic’ about 2015

Ireland has a good immediate pipeline of incoming foreign investment, according to IDA Ireland, and the agency is "cautiously optimistic" for 2015’s prospects on a whole.

“Based on the immediate IDA pipeline, covering the first quarter of 2015, we are optimistic about the future flow of investment into Ireland. In relation to the remainder of the year, we are cautiously optimistic Ireland is in a good position to win significant business across a range of sectors,” the agency’s CEO, Martin Shanahan said yesterday.

He was speaking at the publication of the IDA’s end-of-year progress report for 2014, which showed another bumper year of investment and job creation in Ireland from overseas firms.
