€600k funding for IT start-up
The Dublin-based firm, which also has a sales office in Limerick, provides therapists and health clinics with cloud-based payments and appointment management tools, helping them manage their records and meet Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act standards.
Founded by siblings Martina and Michael Skelly, YellowScheduleâs solution enables one-click scheduling for users and self-serve online appointments for their clients.
Automated appointment reminders reduce appointment âno-showsâ substantially and the unique âReal Time Confirmationâ enables clients to confirm or cancel appointments.
Client communications, notes, and attendance history are also stored on it.
The new funding comes from a number of âangelâ investors including Enterprise Ireland and UK-based businessman Sean Riddell, the former chief executive and head of marketing at leading London-quoted IT healthcare company EMIS.
âOnce we had used YellowSchedule, seen the in-depth functionality of the software, met the management and development team, investing was an obvious decision,â Mr Riddell said of his decision to invest in the Dublin firm. âItâs simply just great software and it is rare to find such a talented management team.â
The company will be attending next monthâs Dublin Web Summit to talk to potential operational partners; although no additional investment is being sought.
âWhilst we are not currently looking for investors, we do have meetings lined up with US and European investors to learn more from them about the space and make those connections for when we are raising our next round,â said chief executive Martina Skelly.
In light of the new funding, YellowSchedule will continue to add features that automate more of the process for clients and plans to launch two new features âan additional mobile app and online payments â that will make it easier for customers to spend less time on administration and more time delivering their service.
The mobile app will enable therapists to access their schedule on the go 24 hours a day.
