Pain is nearly over but Government can’t win

As a rational individual, I would really hate to have anything to do with politics.

Two by-elections are coming up in the next month and most, if not all, of the pundits are tipping candidates from two non-government parties for victory. Last May, the two coalition parties got a lashing from the electorate.

If I were in government, I would be scratching my head and wondering how this could possibly be; that is if one believes the oft quoted mantra, ‘it’s the economy, stupid’.
