Two US tech firms to create 125 jobs
Online advertising firm AdRoll will add a further 100 employees at its Europe, Middle East, and Africa headquarters while library technology firm Innovative announced 25 jobs.
Both companies highlighted the calibre of talent on offer in Ireland as part of their decision to further invest here. “We are excited about the talent we have found in Ireland and the response we’ve had since entering the European market,” said AdRoll chief executive Aaron Bell.
The US firm, which made the announcement at the opening of its new office in the Dublin 4 Burlington Plaza, specialises in retargeting online ads across sources including Google, Twitter, and Facebook.
Retargeting is a particularly successful strategy that allows advertisers to focus their ads at internet users who have previously visited their website but who did not buy anything on that occasion.
The San Francisco-based firm opened its Dublin office in October 2013 with the intention of creating 100 jobs. In March, that figure was revised to 120, meaning yesterday’s announcement will bring the total workforce in Ireland to 220.

Innovative also announced the expansion of its Dublin headquarters, doubling its Irish-based workforce by 2015. It provides integrated library management and automation software and is among the leading library technology firms in the world.
Chief executive Kim Massana said: “Dublin has a rich talent pool and we have been able to recruit an exceptionally skilled and multi-lingual staff to serve our customers throughout Europe — our current staff of 25 is fluent in 15 languages.”
Meanwhile, Aldi yesterday announced the opening of a new store in Monaghan with the creation of 20 jobs. The German chain now has a store in every county.
