Critical Healthcare secures €5m ambulance contract

A Co Westmeath-based medical products manufacturer has won a three-year contract worth €5m, to provide emergency medical products and services to the National Ambulance Service.

Critical Healthcare, which manufacturers and distributes more than 5,000 medical and surgical products from its base in Kilbeggan, will build on its staff of 13 full-time employees and two part-time workers to facilitate the new contract.

The company provides products to emergency services in Ireland, Britain and Scandinavia and is growing by 20% year-on-year.
