The Government has already dismissed some of the recommendations put forward in a blueprint for entrepreneurial growth, but has said that many of the proposals will be implemented.

Blueprint on how to foster start-ups

The report of the Entrepreneurship Forum — seen as the first step towards a formal National Entrepreneurship Policy — was launched yesterday, containing 69 recommendations. These covered financing, tax benefits, female entrepreneurs, mentoring, and education improvements.

The forum, led by Irish-American investor, Sean O’Sullivan, is aiming to help strengthen the country’s business start-up community and build a more cohesive culture of entrepreneurism here.
