Small enterprises will fuel our growth, Voxpro chief tells business leaders
Speaking at the Cork Business Alliance (CBA) monthly morning meeting, Mr O’Meara said that in spite of the company having global clients like Google bringing in contracts worth about €10m a year, they were not too big to look after the smaller enterprises.
“We are probably going to grow Voxpro again by 50%-60% next year by trying to find small companies like yourselves.”
Voxpro is on a meteoric growth curve aiming to double staff over the next year to 1,000, and the key to doing this is growing their smaller clients such as restaurants and doctors surgeries.
“We have in excess of 400 customers. A lot of them we only do about a €1,000 of business a year. We handle the overflow so that they don’t want to have to hire another receptionist to handle the overflow. We can save them that hassle, one person in Voxpro can handle 10 restaurants or doctor’s surgeries, those are the businesses that are going to grow for us,” he said.
Despite the divergence in size of accounts between Google and a local Cork restaurant, Mr O’Meara said that the company placed equal emphasis on both.
“Most of our large clients started off as those €1,000 deals. Our biggest customer is worth over €10m a year, our smallest is about €1,000 a year, and each of them get an account manager. We foster the smaller companies,” he said.
One of the founders of CBA, Patrick O’Brien of Edgewood Design, said that in the last year the organisation had helped him secure 13 building projects.
