BoI to charge for debit card use

The bank is currently not charging its card customers any transaction fees when it comes to contactless debit card point-of-sale payments; where the customer pays for an item by simply waving their card across an electronic reader, rather than physically entering their PIN.

However, BoI intends to begin charging 15c per such transactions from Aug 2014.
