Since the start of the horsemeat scandal in January, Dublin company Safefood 360 has found that the interest in food safety systems has shot up.

“We have been getting a lot more inquiries, especially from meat companies,’’ says co-founder and chief executive George Howlett, explaining that his company offers a software system which is designed to ensure that food firms comply with safety regulations.
