Markets across the eurozone traded down yesterday.

Eurozone markets finish lower

Growing fears of a UK recession and weak economic data from Italy and France saw the eurozone record higher unemployment figures&. Closer to home, the Iseq traded down in the morning session, but a positive opening in the US saw the index bounce back in the afternoon, closing up a modest 5.43 points to finish the week on 3,762.20.

Bank stocks were weaker, with Permanent TSB the only non-faller, closing flat on 3.1c. Bank of Ireland fell 0.1c to 13.1c, and AIB shed 0.2c to finish on 6.5c. Insured FBD holdings gained 23c to close on €12.48.
