Port tunnel operator sees pre-tax profits up by 31.5%

Pre-tax profits at the operator of the €751m Dublin Port Tunnel last year increased by 31.5% to €731,003.

New figures show Egis Road & Tunnel Operation Ireland Ltd’s pre-tax profits increased from €555,593 to €731,003 in the 12 months to the end of December.

The National Roads Authority confirmed yesterday that last year the average daily traffic was 15,500, vehicles with a NRA spokesman confirming that traffic volumes are on the same level this year.
