Rise in cost of services driven by transport

The cost of services in Ireland is increasing in line with inflation, according to the Central Statistics Office experimental Services Producer Price Index.

The new index recorded that the cost of services in Ireland was on average 1.9% higher in the year when compared with the same period last year.

The figure was marginally behind the level of inflation recorded by the consumer price index, which stood at 2%.
