Thousands of farmers will be protesting in Dublin on Oct 9, which the IFA has designated as a major day of action to “fight for the future of family farming”.

The protest relates to what the IFA assesses to be the State’s inaction in the face of escalating cost/price squeeze on farm incomes.

Farmers will be asked to shut down and not allow produce to leave their farms on the day. The wider agri and processing sector will also asked to support the action.
