Ireland has climbed two places in the World Economic Forum’s report on global economic competitiveness despite fears about the macroeconomic climate.

Ireland moved up to 27th on the strength of the country’s education system and innovative business culture.

The report by the World Economic Forum highlighted that relative to most of the world Ireland is still a developed modern economy.
