European markets vary performance

European bourses were mixed yesterday as markets wavered and some profit-taking was evident.

The Iseq index was among the gainers, tacking on 12.91 points to close the trading session at 3,197.38.

Financials were also mixed. AIB made slight progress adding 0.2c to finish at 5.2c. Bank of Ireland and Permanent TSB, however, were laggards. The former gave up 0.2c to 9.9c, while the latter shed 0.1c to 2.3c.
