Company failures stabilise at 116 in June, while start-ups steady at 2,606

June showed a largely unchanged level of company failures and new registrations from last year, with 116 firms declared insolvent and 2,606 being established.

Company failures stabilise at 116 in June, while start-ups steady at  2,606

Latest monthly data from business intelligence service Vision-net shows that 2,606 new companies were registered in June, or 104 per day. This compares with 2,594 new registrations for the same month last year.

Conversely, 116 companies collapsed, again in line with last year when 119 firms were classed as insolvent.
