Someone must pay — why is it always us?

It is said that only a fool learns from his own mistakes, and that a wise man from the mistakes of others.

If that is the case what does it say about our Government?

After the household tax debacle, it seems once again to want to immerse itself in farce as it pursues yet another tax on households — the water charge. The Government cannot seem to get its act together or speak with one voice, or at least to have any coherent, commonly held policy.
