The ISEQ lost 15.61 points to finish a tough week for markets at 3,180.22, mirroring the trend across other European bourses.

Stocks traded lower on the day as weak consumer sentiment and slower-than-expected growth in China gave investors food for thought.

The financials were a mixed bag. AIB and Irish Life and Permanent advanced 0.4c and 0.1c to 7.5c and 3.1c. Bank of Ireland was a laggard, losing 0.1c to 10.7c.
