A think-tank has proposed a €20bn investment strategy to boost jobs and demand on the island of Ireland.

The Nevin Economic Research Institute has claimed that the five-year plan could be conducted at no extra cost to the Government.

Director of the institute Dr Tom Healy insisted that the programme would contribute to Ireland’s economic recovery on an all-Ireland basis yet cost the taxpayer nothing.
