Eurozone agrees €150bn loan to IMF

THE 17-nation eurozone has agreed to lend €150 billion to the International Monetary Fund for use in stabilising the euro currency area, a eurozone governmental source said.

“There is an agreement on a sum of €150bn for the eurozone countries,” the source said.

The source said the aim was still to reach the €200bn target set by EU leaders at a December 9 summit.
