Other European markets also rebounded, despite continuing worries about the eurozone debt crisis, ahead of a confidence vote on Greece’s new coalition and Italy’s announcement of a new government.

US consumer prices fell in October for the first time in four months, giving the Federal Reserve more room to ease monetary policy if the economy slows.
