Exports up 10% but Bruton admits ‘we’ve long way to go’

Enterprise Minister Richard Bruton said if we are to see the recovery that everyone is working so hard to achieve, a strong export performance will be crucial.

Ireland’s trade surplus was up 15% compared with July to €3.7bn, according to the Central Statistics Office (CSO). Exports in August were up 5% from the same period a year earlier to just over €7bn.
