Web connectivity can put a city on the map
The note was issued, as usual, by email. Five minutes later, I received a mail from a client on his Blackberry in a taxi travelling between an airport and the city centre in Beijing. He had just flown on an A380 from Frankfurt to China.
A couple of months ago I was standing in a field near Lissarda, close to Macroom. On the mobile was a customer asking had I a view on an aircraft leasing transaction announced that morning in New York. Back in the house I used an iPad to research the story and issue another note within 30 minutes. An hour later, a Bloomberg journalist in Seattle called to discuss the piece which had been forwarded to her from someone in San Francisco.
