Bruton leads US trade mission

ENTERPRISE Minister Richard Bruton begins a trade mission to the US this morning aimed at building on the 14% growth in exports to the US last year.

Sixty Irish firms are participating in the week-long mission which is part of Enterprise Ireland’s autumn schedule of overseas events organised to drive Irish exports in high growth markets. This is the first time a Government-led trade mission will visit the southern states of the US and the delegation will visit Georgia, North Carolina and Florida in a bid to widen the export footprint of Irish firms in this fast growing area.

“Jobs are at the very top of this government’s agenda, and if we are to create the employment we so badly need, it is crucial that we create an indigenous engine of growth.
