Coca-Cola opens plant

COCA-COLA has opened a manufacturing and innovation plant in Wexford, which will employ 100 people.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny, said: “At a time of great challenge for the Irish economy, this $300 million dollar investment by Coca Cola is a great vote of confidence.”

It came as the global giant also announced the expansion of its global business shared services organisation in Drogheda, Co Louth. Its plant there already employs more than 200 people.
