Positive end to week for shares

SHARES across Europe ended in positive territory in what was another week of turmoil on the markets.

Governments across Europe have been fighting their way through tough times this week.

On the Irish markets shares were 2.8% higher. Bank of Ireland was unchanged at 10 cent while Irish Life and Permanent was down 3.2% to 3 cent. CRH was up 1.8% to €11.96.
