Irish firms’ export sales at €14bn

IRISH companies achieved €14 billion export sales in 2010 that includes a record €1.95bn of new overseas sales, Enterprise Ireland reported in its 2010 report.

The strong rebound in sales meant Irish companies recovered 70% of the exports they lost in 2009. Client companies of the state-backed group are expected to achieve record levels of exports in 2011.

Launching the report, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton welcomed the figures noting the strong performance by exporters.
