This is in contrast to a bounce in consumer sentiment seen in Britain during the month of the royal wedding.

Latest figures show that the current problems facing Ireland’s consumers don’t readily lend themselves to a significant spontaneous increase in “feelgood” unless consumers perceive some improvement in their economic circumstances.
