SMEs urged to claim R&D credits

Dublin: There is significant development in research and development (R&D) &activity taking place among hundreds of Irish SMEs, for which they could be claiming tax credits.

That is according Ken Hardy, partner with KPMG’s R&D team, who was speaking at a special briefing jointly hosted by ISME and KPMG entitled Food for Thought — Smart Ideas for Your Business.

Mr Hardy said& that& one of the main problems is that companies themselves do not realise that the work they are undertaking is real research and development.
