Factory gate prices fall by 0.8%

THE latest data from the Central Statistics Office shows that monthly factory gate prices fell by 0.8% in April, on a year-on-year basis.

The latest wholesale price index compares with an annualised 0.9% increase in March. A 9.2% increase in dairy product prices and an 8.4% rise in meat prices contributed to the annual change.
