Wholesales prices up for fourth month

FACTORY gate prices grew for the fourth consecutive month in March, according to the latest Wholesale Price Index published by the Central Statistics Office.

According to the data, wholesale prices — which measure the price of goods charged for by manufacturers when transport costs are excluded — increased by 0.9% in March, on a year-on-year basis.

March’s annualised increase follows a 0.6% rise in February and a 1.3% rise in January.
