FMC completes plant expansion

CHEMICAL manufacturer FMC has completed the expansion of its microcrystalline cellulose (MCC) plant in Cork, increasing its global capacity by 25% for food and pharmaceutical grade Micro Crystalline Cellulose.

In Cork since 1997, FMC BioPolymer also has an MCC plant in Newark, Delaware, US. At peak, 100 people worked on constructing the new plant.
