Armada Hotel forecasts strong year

THE managing director of one of the best-known four-star hotels in the mid-west said the Armada Hotel is forecasting its strongest year to date after exceeding forecasts for the first part of the year.

John Burke disclosed that the Armada will host 125 weddings in 2011 and expects to hold ‘135-plus’ next year, while employee numbers will this year increase from 105 to 125.

Mr Burke was commenting on abridged accounts recently filed by Armada Hotel Holdings Ltd to the Companies Office that showed that the company incurred a net loss of €355,808 in the 12 months to the end of December 2009.
