Shannon: The number of flights at Shannon Airport plunged last month by more than 17% compared with a year earlier.

In Cork, flights were down 12% while traffic at Dublin fell by just 0.5%, according to the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA).

Shannon Airport expects a return to growth in April and said the ending of the Ryanair agreement last year accounts for 90% of the decline in passenger numbers.
