THE stability of the corporation tax rate has been very important in attracting investment to Ireland and businesses would flee if it was increased.

This is according to British Airways chief executive Willie Walsh, who said he doesn’t believe Europe will force Ireland to increase its very attractive 12.5% corporation tax rate.

“If there was a feeling internationally that it could increase from time to time it would be very damaging,” he said.
