Vodafone reports drop in turnover

VODAFONE suffered a drop in turnover per customer in the last quarter of 2010.

That was the norm for the sector over the period in the Irish market where the British- owned group remains the dominant player.

Internationally the group, which is the world’s largest mobile operator based on sales, said strong demand in India and improving conditions in Europe helped it achieve higher third-quarter service revenues and push up its profit forecast for the year, according to Reuters.
