Manufacturing index up for third straight month

NCB’S manufacturing index grew for the third consecutive month in December.

Employment also rose modestly, despite the huge disruption caused by the arctic winter conditions.

The ongoing recovery in manufacturing in the final month of 2010, showed both output and new orders rose at solid rates with employment also increasing.
