Swedish GDP continues rise

Gross domestic product expanded 2.1% in the three months through September from a revised 2% growth in the second quarter, Stockholm-based Statistics Sweden said. Annual growth accelerated to 6.9% last quarter, from 4.5% in the three months through June, the office said. That compares with a 1.2% median quarterly growth estimate in a Bloomberg survey of 17 economists. Annual expansion was seen at 5.4% in the survey.

Sweden’s economy will grow 4.8% this year, putting it on track to deliver the biggest economic rebound in the European Union.
