RYANAIR will continue to increase baggage charges until passengers stop checking in bags.

Currently, about a quarter of Ryanair’s travellers check in baggage. The airline also said that in the six months to the end of September average fares rose 12% to €44.

Ryanair said exceptional costs related to the ash crisis will be €32 million, less than the €50m previously expected and the airline has paid back most of the claims it received.
